Airport Juice

My latest secret shopping excursion landed me at the airport. Most people would have been greatly perturbed at the notion of leaving a BBQ on a Friday night to ride around in an airport shuttle and submit a report, but I was energized. Instead of taking the airport for what it is at face value - a falsely-secured medium through which travel is procured with the occasional gastric or media distraction - I choose to look at the bigger picture. The airport is a human source of energy, thought, and inspiration in one of its simplest forms. All of the people making their way through the airport have a purpose, whether it be to close a multi-million dollar sale for a pharmaceutical company or personally deliver a happy birthday message to a loved one. Chain Mail

We all get those inspirational emails, spouting of some of life’s most important mantras, followed by a YOU MUST FORWARD THIS OR YOU WILL DIE threat at the end. Most I read, but I honestly do not devote the same sort of brain capacity I would to reading from a website or book, simply because these statements at the end seem to cancel out the value of the message. This morning I had a message in my inbox titled ‘FW: Please read quietly then send it back on its journey …’ So I did just that, I do tend to read things quietly, preferring to save my outside voice for scolding the dogs and cheering friends on at karaoke, so I sat here in silence and read through the 19 tips from the Dalai Lama for a good life.
