My area is abounding with bros.  For those of you who many have never been exposed to the Southern California brand of bro awesomeness, I will take the liberty of describing the main characteristics that help to classify this strange sub-culture. The East County bros are usually outfitted in slip-on Vans, button up shirts with skulls on them, “Famous” brand clothing, raised trucks, tanned, leathery skin, and have a certain air of “I am too cool for school” about them.  The coastal bros stick to surf-brand T-shirts, Oakley sunglasses, shaved chests, and many, many tattoos that help to describe their “soul, man”. After working all day on “expanding my social networks”, i.e. signing up for a number of websites and creating profiles to list my websites and get more exposure (hence, the reason why there was a lapse in posting yesterday), I actually left the house after 9 pm. Now, leaving the house in and of itself is not really that shocking. I do manage to pry my atrophied behind from my desk chair every few days to retrieve mail, do grocery shopping, or head out for the occasional secret shop. It was my destination last evening that was most shocking - I actually went to a party! (more…)
