IE 7, You’re Next…

Last week, WordPress dropped support for IE6 and joined the hundreds of other web sites that are working to move enterprises and consumers alike to a modern browser platform. Thank you! As WordPress highlighted in their blog, you can track IE6’s demise across the globe and join the cause on the IE6 Countdown site.

Thank YOU Microsoft! How soon until can we wipe IE7 off the face of the planet?

The tl;dr (too long, didn’t read) version:

Windows finally admits and embraces the fact that IE6 is an inferior web browser and encourages people to stop using it. Why you ask? Because making websites “look pretty” in IE6 is a gigantic pain in the ass, think hemorrhoids covered in hot sauce. Yeah, it’s that bad.

They’ve also now given me a perfectly lovely document to send over to clients when they can’t quite understand why their super awesome website looks like a turd when they view it on their home computer from 2000 running Windows ME.

Embracing technology means embracing upgrades!

As a public service to my friends/family reading this – I will personally come over to your house and upgrade you if you are running IE6 or IE7. No joke, let me know.
