Don’t Talk to Cops

Everyone from the straight-laced Christian who occasionally jaywalks to church, to the expertly diversified drug/goods/weapons dealer should set aside some time to review the concepts presented in the videos below.  Before you hastily close this page and chalk this post up to more of my anti-establishment banter, let me reassure you that these videos are not an attempt to turn the masses against police.  They contain information that every American citizen deserves to know regarding your 5th amendment rights.

The first video is a quick rundown (think MicroMachines guy speed) of the top ten reasons you should never, ever, under any circumstances, talk to the police. Mr. James Duane, whose credentials include Regent Law School professor and former defense attorney, is not just spitting nonsense into the ether.  Try to keep up with his hypersonic speed as he guides you through the numerous reasons why what you say to police (truth or not) WILL be used against you.

The second video is an entirely different perspective from the opposite side of the law – a police officer.  Officer George Bruch of the Virginia Beach Police Department unabashedly speaks about his experience as a police “interviewer”.  Expert wordsmiths, Bruch explains how the police are able to encourage people into confessing guilt using a number of different tactics including apology letters, video taping, and wire tapping.

If after watching the videos you want your time back, feel free to stop by and use the Tesla Coil ;)

One Response to Don’t Talk to Cops

  1. Leah says:

Let me just say that if there is one thing i learned in law school, it was that you should never, ever, ever say anything to the police! Never! I warned my family and everyone I ever knew about this. There are so many loopholes. No matter what they say to you, just be QUIET! They can ask you anything they want, but you do not ever have to respond! Ever! The only thing you should ever say to a cop is “I want my lawyer” and if they ask you about a different crime/subject/whatever, just repeat “I want my lawyer”. Alot of 5th and 6th amendment stuff going on there – but you don’t really need details – just remember – never talk! If they arrest you just ask for a lawyer only. This will keep you out of soooooo much trouble, whether you deserved the interrogation or not, and furthermore this gives the police the enormous possibility of violating your constitutional rights and there will be no case after all. Okay, enough of my ranting – but I lreally loved this post! Everyone should pay attention!
