Hello all my pet loving friends – today I found the MySpace/Facebook for pets! You Pet is a social networking site for pet lovers where you can create a profile and meet other like-minded pet admirers to discuss the merits of dressing your dog up in a Batman costume for Halloween, or debate which celebrity dog has the most personality. But seriously, I signed up for the site and am really pleased with the quality of information I have found so far. In addition to creating an online personality for your dogs, cats, birds, ferrets, or unicorns, you can also post questions/answers on their forums and keep up to date on the latest animal news. My only complaint is that the registration email ended up in my spam folder, so be sure to look for it in your junk folder when you sign up.
I created profiles for Mr. Tucky and Guapo – now we are just waiting for some animal personalities to join us. You can click the image below to go to their site and start making pet friends – look for me when you sign up, my user name is ‘mandiees’. They also do a lot of really cool promotions and contests including $100 Petco gift card giveaways. Do your fuzzy, scaly, and hairless babies a favor and get them some online friends; the interwebs are not just for people!
Nice — I went to create a profile for my pups, and apparently my work likens that website to porn. The black screen of death came up with two evil eyes, which of course also results in an email being sent to my IT folks telling them that I’ve been bad.
