Who’s the Elitist?

Obama and McCain Elitist

I do not know how everyone else is living these days, but judging by this handy, dandy photo, it looks as though I have a lot more in common with the elitist at the bottom.  I wonder how McCain was able to get all of those fun toys?!  I am sure his involvement in the Keating 5 and his obscenely rich wife had nothing to do with it.  After all, McCain is an untouchable war hero, and speaking out against him would be…  well…  just completely un-American.

It’s OK to question McCain because it’s men and women like him that protect our county’s constitution and our freedom.

What has Obama done for this country?

What’s the Obama family income? (It’s well in the six digits… not exactly pour. In fast there considered wealthy by IRS standards).

Who had a pastor that is a racist and a bigot: Rev. Jeremiah Wright. His “spiritual mentor” for the last 22 years.

Which one is associated with a domestic terrorist: Obama. The same man whose supposed to have integrity and judgment, all the while having a friendly relationship with William Ares, the domestic terrorist.

Which one made the comment in the line that “small communities cling to their guns and religion”?

Name one bill that he’s introduced or sponsored (0).

Anyways, Barack Obama has nothing but a nice smile and a firm handshake as evidence he can deliver on what he promises. He has no history of accomplishment. I’d like a little more collateral on a presidential candidate than just having Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright and Tony Rezko as cosigners on his White House loan application.

    Paul –

Do you sincerely feel that McCain’s track record of financial irresponsibility, poor academic performance, and willingness to strip women of their right to choose qualify him as a candidate concerned with protecting our constitutional freedom? I would really like to know what you include in McCain’s ‘history of accomplishment’… And falling out of the sky onto enemy ground and being held as a POW does not cut it.

Name one bill that Obama has introduced or sponsored? Here is a whole list of them – http://www.govtrack.us/congress/person.xpd?id=400629&tab=bills Obama has sponsored 136 bills since Jan 4, 2005, and two have become law.

John McCain has been in congress since 1993 – a full 12 years longer than Obama – and has sponsored 473 bills since Jan 1993, 30 of which were successfully enacted ( http://www.govtrack.us/congress/person.xpd?id=300071&tab=bills ). When you look at the averages – McCain sponsored an average of 31.5 bills per year, and Obama sponsored 45.3 per year – who works harder in Congress?

If you are going to judge someone by the company they keep, perhaps you should take a good, hard look at the types of people McCain has surrounded himself with over the years. It has been shown that McCain’s campaign manager, Rick Davis – one of the people most intimately involved in his campaign, has been receiving payments of $15,000 a month between 2006 and August 2008 from Freddie Mac ( http://www.newsweek.com/id/161218/output/print ). Do I really need to go into detail regarding McCain’s involvement with the Keating 5? Lobbyists and insider-dealings seem to be part of his everyday regime, and that does not even take into account his involvement with both of Bush’s campaigns, and his support of Bush’s policies.

In closing, I am pretty sure that the facts I have presented above will bear little or no weight in your position, but as a positivist, I like to believe I can bring about change. Here is yet another article you may find interesting, perhaps it will give you a little bit of insight into the reasons why you feel you need to defend McCain, when he is so obviously the lesser candidate.
