Hurty Throat

Today is the first day in months that I actually have to leave the house and converse with someone I am not already acquainted. Not only do I have to make conversation with this person, it would probably be in my best interest to “sell” myself to this person as they are the publisher for a national physician magazine, and I would like the opportunity to do some freelance work for them. Predictably, I woke up this morning with the type of sore throat that extends deep into the gut; searing my innards from my tonsils to my appendix. I just hope I can get this interview in before the pain starts to seep into other regions of my body, further crippling my physical and mental prowess. (more…)

Water is Bad for Laptops

You can not tell by reading this post, but I am writing from a different computer. Why? Well, like the clumsy idiot I often am, I spilled water all over my laptop this morning. I got into a pointless argument with Butterfinger about muffins, of all things, then I proceeded to sit at my desk and frantically click around as if I had something much more pressing to do than engage in a fight about breakfast foods. I was mad, I was upset, I needed to act like I had a mission to accomplish, and I threw my hand across the desk, taking out my water bottle in one fail swoop. (more…)
