I Love Franklin

I am getting ready to head back to Pennsylvania for the weekend to attend a wedding, and one of the most important things I need to remember to bring along with me is my buddy Franklin. You see, Franklin is what is called EVDO or Mobile Broadband, and his little USB dongle body is capable of providing me with high speed internet anywhere you have a cell phone signal. His sleek figure is about 2 inches tall and 1 inch wide, and he glides into my computer’s USB port with the greatest of ease. He is always ready, willing, and eager to check my email no matter what the terrain, or help me to update my blog in the middle of Tennessee. (more…)

The Oracle

Today Butterfinger and I had a fight. Shocking, I know, but we, like most human beings in committed relationships, have disagreements that generally turn into verbal arguments during which we try to slay and outwit one another with various participles of vocabulary ammunition. This one did not get particularly ugly nor did it go on for any extended period of time, but I was definitely still mad when I got out of the car to make a deposit at the bank. It was pretty ironic that I had to make this stop at the bank in the first place because the clash fundamentally had to do with money and our differing beliefs on its relative importance. (more…)
