In an effort to better myself as a person, become a more productive member of the startup, and be more confident with future web endeavors, I have decided to learn a programming language. Initially I chose this language because of the catchy, illiteration in place within the title, but upon further investigation have come to find out that it is a wonderful environment to program in due to its simplicity. Simple is good, especially considering I am someone with limited experience using a command line or basic database queries. Butterfinger is in on the learning too, which makes it a bit easier and fun at the same time - a little competition never hurt anyone right?
Right now I have only watched a couple tutorials and screwed around with “Hello World”, but I will get there. My main problem at the moment is trying to decide how much time to devote to my programming education while making sure that none of my other earthly tasks are neglected, ie the startup, my blog, the puppies, xmas prep, living in a semi-clean abode, eating, and a lot of other non ‘life or death’ matters. So instead of writing a lengthly post about what I do not know, I am going to go and learn something.
