Pardon the Interruption

I know most of you have much better things to do on a Friday evening/Saturday than sit around the house or a WiFi internet cafe reading my blog, which is a really good thing considering there was a minor problem that shut down all of our sites, including the startup, for about 24 hours. The amount of traffic I receive is laughable when compared to that of the startup, and it was a very interesting experiment to see what kind of effect the server downtime would have on our little family of websites.

I just got done checking the analytics, and yesterday I had TWO visitors to this site, and a handful on rcivip.com, whereas the startup stayed at about the same level it has been running at all week, despite the day-long interruption in service. So, contrary to my worst fears, the server’s malfunctioning had no real implications for new user sign ups and call completion – we even had people on the site clicking ads while the mess was getting straightened out! I still have so much to learn… Which reminds me, if anyone can write/read/speak Chinese (no clue if its simplified or traditional), let me know if you would be interested in volunteering your services for the startup:)
