I have no idea why I allow these physical states control my being the way they do, and I am hoping that training myself to stay up later, and function on less sleep, will be a good first step in the direction of breaking free from my mental prison. So until I can figure out a way to work an 8 hour day, commute 2 hours, spend 1 hour with the dogs, watch 1 hour of Tv, enjoy my dinner for 1 hour, catch up on emails for 1 hour, work on the startup/blog for 6 hours, and sleep for 8 hours, and make it fit into a 24 hour day, I am going to have to start multitasking and cutting some things out.
I am also now able pay attention to the dogs while checking my email and blogging. I can also not enjoy my dinners and work on websites, while simultaneously dunking my grilled ham and cheese into my Campbell’s tomato soup. I can use gTalk, set my alarm, fold laundry, and send a text message at the same time, why can’t I figure out a way to add more hours into the day??
We will have to see how this trial period pans out, I have faith that Butterfinger will start to adjust to normal sleeping hours and again join the ranks of the pigmented. Maybe I will even learn how to make even better use of my time and come out of this a 7 hour a night sleeper that can talk out of both sides of her mouth, while writing code for a website, giving Tucker a bath, and finding a cure for AIDS (or at least making public knowledge of the one Magic Johnson utilized). For right now there is plenty of Wawa coffee to get me going at work, and Code Red Mountain Dew in the fridge at home to caffeinate my sleep deprived body. Only 2 more uber productive hours to go…
I couldn’t help but laugh when I read this post about Dad and the NPR. At least when you rode with him in the car/truck, he actually had a radio!! Some of his previous vehicles did not.
